Playback Psychology offers therapy services to adults and teens. By harnessing imagination, energy, enthusiasm, poetry, and humour I will strive to understand your story and elevate your voice. Whether you are considering the past, the present, or the future, I believe that therapeutic conversations can expand the options, responses, and actions we have available to us and help us to recognize our opportunity to be active agents in our own lives- or the protagonist of our own story. The therapist's role is to ask you thoughtful questions that help to provide clarity and make meaning of your experiences.
I practice Contemporary Feminist Narrative Therapy, which means my work is focused and targeted. I consider contextual factors that can contribute to our distress. I practice the art of paying attention, which means what you say is extremely important. I will write it down. I will work hard during our time together to listen, to understand, and to help.
I am an EMDR trained therapist and offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy as an approved intervention for trauma.

A note about safety. Playback Psychology is an enthusiastically affirming space. Your name, pronouns, and identity will be respected, supported, and cherished here. You will not be required to force yourself into any checkbox or binary based on your identity. We are continually working towards making therapy a safer place for those who have been excluded from, denied, or been the victim of harmful practices in our profession. We welcome feedback on any of our practices or language that requires more learning, but will not rely on the communities we serve to educate us. We remain humble and committed to the work of Queer and trans rights and celebrate the beauty of diverse expressions of gender, identity, and relationships.
We acknowledge that we live and work on Treaty 7 territory—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani and Siksika as well as the Tsuu T’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We acknowledge that we are not rightful owners of this land, but as settlers, descendants of thieves. We acknowledge the systematic attempted genocide of Indigenous people across this country, our role in the continued racism that exists in Canada, and our responsibility as Treaty people to begin the work of returning land, resources, governance, autonomy, culture, and children back to their traditional communities.
